"It is the struggle itself that is most important. We must strive to be more than we are. It does not matter that we will not reach our ultimate goal. The effort itself yields its own reward."

I've finally found the time to tell the story I'd been thinking of for 20 years. I'd always done some writing here and there but to bring everything together in one coherent tale took a new level of focus and a determination that I've found only recently.

Describe yourself in three words.

I always have to be pushing myself forward in some way. Whether it's learning new skills, embarking on a new project, or helping someone else become a better version of themselves, I thrive on continuous growth. I take pride in being 'the guy' who knows a little something about everything, and I believe this curiosity and breadth of knowledge is what makes me an effective writer and mentor.

You'll find a recurring theme of 'master and apprentice' throughout all of my writing, as it's a dynamic I deeply resonate with and believe holds the potential to change the world positively. The apprentice must embrace humility to learn, while the master must discern which values are most essential to impart. I have been fortunate to have excellent mentors and to have served as a mentor myself, experiencing the profound impact of this relationship from both perspectives.

My brain works a little differently to most other humans and it craves order and routine in a way that makes my writing prescriptive. That's not to say it lacks creativity; rather, it ensures that my ideas are structured and meticulously crafted, providing a clear and engaging experience for my readers.

Star Gate, Star Trek, Star Wars (in that order!). Science fiction has always been my source of inspiration and sanctuary. I hope to contribute in some small way to yours.
